Formula or tablelb/day = flow (MGD) × dose (mg/L) × 8.34. Adjusted product feed = pure_lb / (purity %), keyed to the chemical: chlorine gas 100%, sodium hypochlorite 12.5%, calcium hypochlorite 65%, fluorosilicic acid 23% x 0.792 available fluoride ion (dose as F), alum dry 100% / liquid 48.5%, ferric chloride 38%.
