The decision every fire job turns on before a sponge or solvent is chosen: the residue source, appearance, recommended method, deodorization note, and the trap to avoid (protein looks invisible but must not be dry-sponged). A test-clean of an inconspicuous area governs the final method; this screen narrows it. IICRC S700 governs.
