Kitchen Cabinet Linear-Foot Takeoff
Cabinets are quoted by the linear foot of run, and the run a shop bills is not the wall length. Each inside corner eats one cabinet DEPTH off one of its two legs, which is why an L-kitchen measured wall-to-wall always over-counts; appliance openings come out and fillers go in. A 22-ft base run with 5 ft of appliances and 2 corners bills 13 LF, not 22. Keeps base, wall, and tall separate because they price differently, and returns countertop LF (which DOES run the full corner) and toe-kick.
Formula and source
base LF = wall run - appliance openings - (corners x cabinet depth); filler = corners x filler width; wall and tall LF taken as entered; cabinet count = ceil(LF x 12 / standard width); countertop LF = base LF + corner length; toe kick = base + tall LF.
Cabinet takeoff arithmetic - no standard claimed and no manufacturer size table reproduced.
