Details, formula, and sources
Formula or tableCenter-to-center: cut = C-to-C - (takeout_A + takeout_B) + (makeup_A + makeup_B) - (weld_gap_A + weld_gap_B); thread make-up adds back for threaded joints, and a butt-weld root gap is subtracted at each end. Face-to-face lands on the fitting faces, so only make-up (added) and weld gap (subtracted) apply.
