For a plane cut at angle alpha from square, longitudinal offset at circumferential station phi: y(phi) = (OD/2) * tan(alpha) * (1 - cos(phi)), phi over 0..360 in equal stations; circumference = pi*OD; max ordinate = OD*tan(alpha).

The pipefitter's wraparound (ordinate) method for marking an angled pipe cut, y = (OD/2)*tan(alpha)*(1 - cos(phi)), as taught in NCCER Pipefitting and the standard layout references, by name; first-principles geometry.

Public first-principles geometry. A layout aid - the bevel and fit-up govern the finished joint.

Estimate. AHJ and licensed professional govern.
